Selected for the Albert McNeil Series, Jacqueline Hairston (Jester’s niece) has penned a powerful spiritual arrangement that includes the traditional Thanksgiving hymn “Come Ye Thankful People Come.” A strongsupportive keyboard part sets the mood, followed by a 2-part vocal canon of the spiritual. The chorus brings everyone together, then the hymn steps in over the spiritual as if the two were always meant to be sung together.
