For Holy Week, this moving anthem paints the dramatic image of Jesus awaiting his fate praying alone in Gethsemane. Parts for an instrumental ensemble are available and greatly enhance the passion of the moment. This piece comes from John Parker and Joel Raney’s Lenten cantata, One Sacrifice.
